Florida Highway Patrol Master Sgt. Hinton Dies After 32 Years of Service

Master Sgt. Hinton served 32 years with the Florida Highway Patrol. After his graduation from the 77th Recruit Class, his first duty assignment was in Troop F, Ft. Myers, and throughout his career, he served at the FHP Training Academy and with the Criminal Interdiction Unit. Most recently, he served with the Office of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement in Troop J, Ft. Myers.


Master Sgt. Hinton suffered cardiac arrest during a training exercise and was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital where he later passed away.
