Log Truck VS County Truck

August 14, 2017

Around 4:00pm on Monday August 14, 2017 a log truck owned by JLH Trucking Collided with a Madison County solid waste truck on West Us 90 and Pickle Lane.

Both vehicles were heading east from Greenville coming into town. The County truck stopped at Pickle Lane waiting for a car to pass so he could turn north onto Pickle Lane. The driver of the log truck failed to see the stopped county truck in time and tried to pass on the left side. The log truck struck the county truck just behind the cab and pushed it over 200 feet up the embankment coming to rest in front of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Madison EMS, Madison Police Department and Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The driver of the log truck had to be extricated and was later transported by EMS to the hospital for further evaluation. The driver of the county truck appeared ok with no apparent injuries.
