Semi Rolls Over Dumping Several Tons of Garbage on Road Side

On Monday March 20, 2017, just before lunch, First Responders received a call of an accident on Greenville Hills Road with a single occupant laying on the ground.

 

Rescue crews arrived to find a semi-truck loaded with garbage had rolled over on its side with several tons of garbage scattered in the ditch. It appears the driver of the semi was traveling to fast as he approached the curve and simply lost controlled and flipped of on its side. The semi also leaked several gallons of motor oil onto the road way. Madison EMS transported the driver of the semi to Madison County Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Madison Fire Rescue and Sermons Volunteer Fire Rescue responded along with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department to help control the scene. The FHP Worked the accident.
