Two Orlando Men Arrested with 81 I Pad's

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Thursday the 15th day of October 2015 Deputy Brandon Goldman was working traffic enforcement on Interstate 10. At 9:30 am Deputy Goldman stopped a white Ford Explorer after observing the driver (identified as Joshua Jacob Rivera) commit two traffic violations. While taking enforcement actions Deputy Goldman detected indicators of possible criminal activity. Deputy Goldman conducted a driver’s license and warrant check through MCSO Communications Center and found that Rivera had active arrest warrants from Brevard County Sheriff’s Office for Grand Theft from Persons 65 Years of Age or Older and Criminal Use of Personal Identification Information of a Person 60 Years of Age.  During a probable cause search Deputy Goldman discovered that Rivera and his passenger Amilcar Cordova II were transporting a large quantity of brand new electronics and clothing. The investigation showed that these items were obtained by fraudulent means and seized as evidence. More than 81 Apple I Pad’s, 6 gaming systems, 3 Apple I Phone’s and numerous prepaid debit and gift cards along with fraudulent Identification and credit cards were part of the items recovered totaling more than $65,000.00.  Rivera and Cordova were arrested without further incident.
