Around 6:30 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2015 Madison Fire/Rescue responded to a report of a tree fire on Priest Avenue in the City of Madison.  Responding fire personnel found a large pine tree with flames around the base beginning to move up the tree.  Old pine straw was burning and had ignited the bark.  The source of ignition was not known.  The tree was not near any source that would cause the flames to errupt and there was no lightning in the area.  The flames were quickly extinguished with no damage beyound the tree.
