Temperatures were in the low 20’s this morning as kids arrived at Lee Elementary. Many bundled up tight to keep the cold out. But principal Robin Hill made the cold temperatures seem not so bad when they saw the snow in the courtyard.
Growing up in Madison Florida does not produce many opportunities for kids to play in snow. So Mrs. Hill took it upon herself to provide such an opportunity. With an air compressor, a pressure washer, some ingenuity and a long night and morning Mrs. Hill produced a kids dream of snow and snow ball fights come true. I’m sure “do you want to build a snowman” was said a few times.
Students and teachers had a great time playing in the Florida Snow Storm of 2015 at Lee Elementary School.
