JAWS OF LIFE USED TO EXTRICATE CRASH VICTIM

February 15, 2015

At approximately 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2015 Madison County 911 Center received a report of a traffic crash with injuries on U.S. Highway 90 about six miles east of Lee.  Lee Fire/Rescue responded and had to use jaws of life to extricate a person in the silver passenger car.  The victim was transported by Madison County Emergency Medical Services to a care facility.  Also assisting at the scene were Madison County Sheriff's deputies for traffic control because both lanes of Highway 90 were closed.  Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are doing the crash report.  State Division of Forestry personnel were also at the crash site.
