Top Dancing Talent Performs at Light Up Madison Dec. 6

December 5, 2014

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

Light Up Madison street performance promises Dance, Music, Costumes & Surprises

Catch the SNOW BALL FIGHT in downtown Madison!

Please share with everyone you know who'd enjoy this holiday event. . .

It has become a community tradition for the past few years that the multi-talented students from Becky's Dance Steps Studio perform at the Light Up Madison Christmas Celebration, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and Junior Auxiliary.

That's exactly what the studio's dancers will do again this Saturday, Dec. 6, at 4:45pm on S.W. Pinckney Street near the south end of the Courthouse in front of the Annex. The theme for the mini-recital will be Have a Holly Jolly Christmas and will feature dancers ranging from ages 3 - 18 proudly performing in their cutest Christmas outfits.

There will be something for everyone as the dancers showcase a variety of 12 ballet, tap, and jazz numbers to music ranging from Traditional Christmas songs to contemporary.

Always a showstopper, the show will open with a Rockette style kickline to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" performed by the older girls followed by adorable pre-schoolers dancing as Prancing Reindeer and Mrs. Santa Claus, just to name a few. Also, there will be a lively version of Jingle Bells performed by the tweens, as well as the Studio's very own version of Let it Snow complete with a snowball fight at the end of the dance!

According to Becky Robinson, studio owner and director, "My students always work very hard to get ready for our Light Up Madison show and look forward to the performance each year. It's a chance for Madison's young dancers to showcase their talents while giving their friends and family the 'gift of dance' during the Christmas season. Please bring a lounge chair to sit in and be prepared to enjoy Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!"
