Obituary: Ron Fall

August 14, 2014

Ron Fall, born February 10, 1942, who grew up in Pompton Plains, N.J., passed away quietly during the evening hours of Monday, August 4 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He did not survive this last three month’s courageous struggle for his life and was finally able to let go peacefully. He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Terry) Fall, of Madison; his son, Austin D. Fall, of Virginia Beach, Va.; his sister, Helen Hauck, of Hamilton, Mass.; and one niece and one nephew, both residing in Massachusetts.

A Navy man in active duty from 1959 to 1963 and forever and always in service to his country, he believed strongly in the Constitution and in what it means to be an American.

Having lived in several places in these United States, and finally making his home in Madison for the past 20-plus years, his life’s journey was eclectic at least and adventurous at best; he never hesitated to take the road less traveled and all of those who knew him were better for it. He always had a soft spot in his heart for the plight of the abused, animals and humans alike, and was always ready to help where and when he could.

His body is being cremated and there will be no formal services at this time. He would prefer donations of money, bags of food, towels or time be presented to the Wounded Warrior Program, the ASPCA or your local animal shelter as your gift of the celebration of his life.
