MADISON CELEBRATES VETERANS DAY
It was the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 2016 when about 100 citizens of Madison County gathered at the Madison County Community Bank lobby to honor all veterans of all conflicts. It was a time of remembering and renewing appreciation for all the men and women who have served our country or who are currently serving in the armed forces. Those present represented their participation in World War II, Korea, VietNam and the Middle East. There was prayer, the Pledge of Alligence, and a speaker that reminded all present of the importance of defending the United States constitution. Patriotic music, introduction of all veterans attending and lunch on the grounds rounded out the activities of the day. A big thank you to all the families that have always supported their loved ones in harms way.
