Head On Collision on Little Cat Sends Two to Hospital
Around 3:30 pm on Tuesday August 16th First Responders were called out to a two car accident on Little Cat Road near Flowers Road.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office arrived first and reported that Little cat road was blocked and two people were injured. One was out of the vehicle complaining of pain in his arm while the other was still in her car unconscious.
EMS and Madison Fire/Rescue arrived quickly at the scene and transported the driver of the white van to Madison County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the red was take to the landing zone at the Madison EMS building and transferred to Shands Cair and was air lifted to Tallahassee. At the time of this post she was in critical condition.
It appeared as though the driver of the van was facing West on Little Cat Road preparing to turn left into a driveway. The red car was heading East on Little Cat Road. The impact was on the driver’s side front of both vehicles. It was unclear which vehicle crossed the center line. The impact pushed the van back, about 20 feet, stopping crossways blocking both lanes and caused the car to spin 180 degrees and come to rest in the East shoulder of the road. FHP was called to work the accident.
