Two Car Collision Snarls After School Traffic
A two car accident had traffic slowed at the intersection of Base St. and Washington St. Monday afternoon, March 21st, as schools were letting out. Traffic heading West on Base St. had to be diverted North on Washington while emergency workers worked the scene.
A Gold colored Honda Accord entered the intersection, heading North when a Gold colored Chevrolet Malibu failed to stop and struck the Accord. The airbags of the Accord deployed but the airbags of the Malibu did not deploy. The Madison Police Department responded to redirect traffic and work the wreck. Madison EMS responded and evaluated the occupants of both vehicles. Madison Fire Rescue helped with traffic control and cleaned up fluids that leaked from the wrecked cars.
