Update: Six Candidate File to Run for Local Office

While many are being inundated with the Presidential Election news and the candidates who are seeking the highest office in the nation, and perhaps the world, Madison’s local candidates file the necessary documents to run for local offices.

Local Offices that will appear on the ballot in 2016 are:

Clerk of Court Tim Sanders and Superintendent of Schools Doug Brown have announced they will not seek re-election at the end of their current term ending in November 2016.

The Election date for the City of Madison and the Town of Greenville will be held on March 15, 2016.

The Primary election will be held on August 30, 2016 with the General Election being held on November 8, 2016. Qualifying for local office is noon June 20, 2016 thur noon June 24, 2016.
