CRASH SENDS THREE TO AREA HOSPITALS
At approximately 8:22 PM on Monday, November 16, 2015 Madison 911 Center received multiple reports of a traffic crash on I-10 at the 250 Mile Marker west bound. Madison Fire/Rescue was first on scene and discovered two vehicles and a U-Haul trailer blocking the two west bound lanes and three victims with multiple injuries that had not been previously report from by-standers. Madison EMS was dispatched as was the Madison County Sheriff's Department and the Florida Highway Patrol. New Home Fire/Rescue and Greenville Fire/Rescue also assisted. Madison County Emergency Management responded to help set up the landing area on I-10 for the medical helicopter from Tallahassee. Traffic was backed up to the251 Exit and traffic was diverted to Highway 90 in Madison. Three patients were transported to area hospitals with one in critical condition.
