Cloudy weather prevented a good view of the much noted super moon eclipse in North Florida. But around 11:35 PM on Sunday, September 27, 2015 the clouds thinned out just a little so that the partial "red moon" could be seen. The event is rare and worth waiting for in the evening air. The photos were taken from the city of Madison, Florida using a Canon S2 IS point-and-shot 5 megapixel digital camera. The photos were cropped and lightened and sharpened a little. Never in a clear sky with the clouds floating over the moon it was difficult to get a sharp image. The shutter speed was 1 second and the shutter was set at f3.5 with manual focus set at infinity. Super Moon, Eclipse, Red Moon all in one package!!
