The WTXL Road Trip features MADISON COUNTY all this week starting tonight (July 13) on the 6 p.m. news and continuing through Friday, July 17, on Channel 27 featuring TV coverage of Treasures of Madison County Museum, Madison Youth Ranch, Madison Blue Spring State Park, Haffye Hays Park, Grace Manor Victorian Bed & Breakfast and more! The first four days are prerecorded news reports.
Then this Friday, July 17, everyone is invited to LIVE filming with WTXL-TV ABC Channel 27's news team and weather staff arriving in Madison for filming all day. Norris Café is their first live broadcast location. Owners Chris and Amanda Norris invite you to eat-in for breakfast from 5 a.m. to 7:05 a.m. at 140 SW Range Avenue, across from the Madison County Courthouse. This will be the Friday Sunrise Rocks segment from WTXL's Road Trip. Local band 50 Caliber Minivan will be showcased playing live music at Norris Cafe. (Previously Dry Bones BBQ with a Purpose in Lee was scheduled, however, Timmy Dyke called and said he wouldn't be able to get the restaurant's license by July 17.)
