WaterVentures Florida’s Learning Lab, a mobile outreach vehicle, Visits Madison County Educating Citizens about Water Conservation Free of Charge
WaterVentures Florida’s Learning Lab will stop in Madison County at the Down Home Days Festival on 4.18.2015. The mobile outreach vehicle provides education to the public on the importance of being responsible stewards of Florida’s freshwater resources while encouraging citizens to make environmentally conscious decisions. The 53-foot semi-trailer features enriching and engaging exhibits that offer a hands-on look at Florida’s diverse watersheds, water conservation and recycling. These exhibits are designed to empower and inspire the public through experiential learning. All can participate in museum-quality directed learning activities with on-site educators free of charge.
The visit to Madison County is just one of the many stops on the WaterVentures tour around the state of Florida. Over the course of the 2014-2015 school year the WaterVentures vehicle will make more than 170 stops bringing the exciting world of science education directly to the students and citizens of Florida by visiting schools, fairs, and communities throughout the state. WaterVentures is based on the experience and success of the Crystal Springs Foundation and Crystal Springs Preserve, a 525-acre sanctuary devoted to environmental education and dedicated to the preservation of Florida’s natural environment.
