New Seminole plate delivered to tag offices
The wait is over for Florida State Seminole fans. The school’s redesigned specialty license plate was shipped to tag offices around the state this week. The revised tag features the school’s new team logo and better reflects the official school colors of garnet and gold.
The FSU plate is the state’s second most popular specialty license plate with more than 62,000 of the tags sold last year. School officials chose to redesign the plate after the Seminole football team won its third national championship a year ago.
The cost of the plate is $25 in addition to the state registration fees. Revenue from the sale of the specialty tag goes for academic enhancement at FSU.
