Obituary: Wallace Edward Pickles

Wallace Edward Pickles, 79, of Live Oak passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 in Gainesville FL. Wallace was born in Madison and moved to Live Oak from Tallahassee 53 years ago. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He worked for Florida Power where he retired as a Chief Operator at the Ellaville power plant. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and R.A. Director. He was married to Wynema Pickles of Live Oak for 56 years. He is also survived by Daughters; Genie & Giz Croft of Lee, FL, Brenda Pickles of Pinetta FL; Sons; Eddie Pickles of Live Oak, FL, John & Shelly Pickles of Live Oak; Sisters; Louise & Elbert Strickland of Madison, FL, Ann & Hubert Nash of Madison, FL; Brother; Douglas & Shannon Pickles of Jasper, FL. Nine Grandchildren and Nine Great-Grandchildren. Services for Wallace will be held at Pine Level Baptist Church at 11:00 am on Tuesday December 30, 2014 with viewing from 10:00 - 11:00 am before the service with Rev. Lester Curry officiating. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery.
