NFCC Artist Series presents The Nutcracker Sunday, Dec. 14 at Van H. Priest Auditorium
NFCC partners with Danceology for community production; Local dance students join Dance Alive National Ballet on stage at NFCC
MADISON, FL – North Florida Community College is proud to partner with Shannon McCook of Danceology (Live Oak/Jasper dance studio) for a “community production” of The Nutcracker by Dance Alive National Ballet on Sunday, Dec. 14 at NFCC’s Van H. Priest Auditorium. Area dance students have been practicing for weeks in preparation to share the stage with Dance Alive National Ballet, one of the most distinguished and creative ballet companies in the Southeast. Based in Gainesville, Dance Alive National Ballet is led by Artistic Director Kim Tuttle and Choreographer in Residence Judy Skinner.
“We appreciate all the talent and collaboration that goes into this partnership between NFCC, Danceology and Dance Alive National Ballet,” said NFCC Artist Series Director Kim Scarboro. “I am amazed at how fast our local dance students learn the choreography and applaud Shannon McCook, the students and parents, our NFCC staff and volunteers, and Kim Tuttle for all the dedication and work that goes into making this ‘community performance’ a success. Don’t miss this show; the performance and costumes are spectacular!”
