Elici Riche of Tallahassee Arrested for Possession
Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Monday the 10th day of November 2014 at 11:24 am a deputy of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office stopped Gray four door sedan Westbound on Interstate 10 in Madison County for traveling 110 miles per hour. When the deputy approached the sedan he smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the sedan. While speaking with the driver (identified as Elici Riche of Tallahassee) he noticed Riche began to spray perfume inside the car in an attempt to mask the odor of marijuana. The deputy asked Riche if she had any marijuana in her possession and she answered no. The deputy instructed Riche to exit the sedan and Riche changed her answer stating there was some marijuana in the dash compartment. After completing enforcement actions for the speed violation the deputy conducted a probable cause search of the sedan. During the search the deputy located white plastic bag that contained marijuana in the dash area of the sedan and a plastic water bottle that had been converted into a smoking device in the cup holder of the center console. Riche was arrested without incident and transported to the Madison County Jail.
