Epkins Arrested with synthetic marijuana (SPICE)
Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on the 8th day of September 2104 at 7:34 pm investigators of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force stopped a silver truck driven by Reginald Epkins for committing a traffic violation at the intersection of Armwood and Old County Camp Road. Epkins stopped the truck in a driveway on Byrd Ave. The investigator made contact with Epkins who was the sole occupant of the truck and requested Epkins to produce his driver license. Epkins had difficulty locating his driver license and continuously reached under the driver seat.
The investigator requested Epkins to exit the truck and when Epkins opened the driver door a package identified as synthetic marijuana or “spice” fell to the ground. Epkins was secured and the investigator recovered the package. Upon looking inside the package the investigator located 7 smaller plastic zip lock style baggies each containing a white powdery substance, 1 small plastic baggie containing synthetic marijuana and 1 small plastic baggie containing three Adderall pills. Epkins was then placed under arrest and transported to the Madison County Jail without incident.
