Stevens and Hopson Arrested for active warrents
Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Thursday the 17th day of July 2014 at 6:35 pm Madison County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force investigators stopped a white Ford Explorer for a traffic violation on Rocky Ford Road. While talking with the driver investigators noticed the front seat passenger appeared overly nervous of their presence. Investigators made contact with the male subject and identified him as Sirjamez Stevens. Investigators conducted a warrants check through MCSO Communications and learned that Stevens had an active warrant for his arrest. Stevens was arrested without incident and transported to the Madison County Jail.

Sheriff Stewart further reports that on this same date at 8:12 pm DTF investigators stopped a two door Pontiac sedan at the intersection of Range and Rutledge Streets for a faulty equipment violation. While talking with the driver investigators observed one of the back seat passengers slide down in the seat and appeared to be attempting to conceal her face. Investigators made contact with the female subject and identified her as Heidi Hopson. A warrants check was conducted through MCSO Communications discovered that Hopson had an active warrant for her arrest. Hopson was arrested without incident and transported to the Madison County Jail.
